A good friend, Peggy Maloney, stopped by to say hi and give us a beautiful hand-made Christmas wreath. She lives and works in Mancos, CO making marvelous metalworks (i.e. jewelry). Peggy exhibits in Albuquerque, NM at Mariposa Gallery. She taught with Paul at Fort Lewis College for many years in the art department. Currently she is teaching privately. It's getting dark out and sleeting, so Peggy has to get back to her cozy home and her three cats.

Peggy was a dear friend of mine. I just learned that she passed in a car accident along Hwy 550 on her way to Albuquerque for Thanksgiving. I knew her well but did not know her other friends. The memorial is tomorrow and I live to far away to make the sojourn. I'd love to converse with others about her. I'll miss her terribly.

Peggy was my friend too. I went to graduate school with her. I just spoke to her year ago in the spring. She called out of the blue. We had lost touch for a few years. I sent her a Christmas letter and I was so glad to get a response. The handwriting was very familiar. Unfortunately, it was her sister's. Katy had gotten my letter as the PO has been sending Peggy's mail to her.

It was a shock to me that she was dead. She is the second good friend I've lost in the last six months. I'm really broken up about this.

I wonder if I know you Bajanbab. I'll miss her terribly too.

It’s spring and I am cleaning out the studio. Opened a box and in it lay all my unfinished jewelry that was started in Peggy’s FLC classes. Guess I will have to finish them. In honor of you, Peggy.

Miss you.

Hey there CJ and NMgrad...I don't think we know eachother, but I was in Peggy's Farmington circle of friends. If any of you want to contact me for a chat about Peggy, please feel free. You can e-mail me at janbroadhurst@gmail.com. I am planning a day in Mancos in her honor this spring with another good friend, Suzette.
Cheers!
